JOSEPH SIMPSON - Researcher

Joe directs automotive and cities research for the Bureau. He also holds a part-time postgraduate research post on the vehicle design programme at the Royal College of Art, London.

He is an expert in auto industry trends, brands and personalities, emerging vehicle design concepts and the implications of energy and sustainability constraints on urban lifestyle. He writes regularly for Re*Move and is a contributor to Car Design News and Business Week.

His RCA research explores cities, their development and future, and the fusion of architecture and design with cars and transport to develop new solutions for urban societies.

Joe has a degree in architecture from the University of Sheffield and has worked for Penoyre & Prasad LLP and the pioneering architecture and environment consultancy EDAW.
